Whenever we know pictures of the California coast are coming our way, we know we’re in for some ridiculous quite — and all the much more so when Tyler Rye Photography, SmittenKiss Weddings and Events, and Vo Floral Design and style are involved. This group of vendors put together a workshop at Point Reyes, capturing pretty style and moments in time as only they could!
From SmittenKiss Weddings and Events: I was born and raised in California and in my 34 years of walking this earth, I can honestly admit that I have only explored about 50% of the state. Although words like “Hollywood” and “Liberals” were the quickest to come to one’s mind, let’s not forget the all-natural beauties that California has gifted us. We are recognized for the rolling hills of wine nation, and the sunny beaches of San Diego. Outdoor enthusiasts talk of remarkable hikes in Yosemite and Large Sur but it wasn’t until I visited the Northern Coast of California, did I finally comprehend what beauty was.
I met Tyler Rye mid-2016 and rapidly moved on the opportunity in pulling his 3-day workshop with each other. As I got to know Tyler, I knew that he loved a neutral palette, but outside of the neutral points, I wanted to introduce some modern day aspects into the style as properly. Tyler is identified for capturing really like in the most breathtaking places and so when he chose Point Reyes, I knew that we had to uncover the ideal balance amongst the steep cliffs of this Northern coast, and the 200 year old wooden cottages. Remote regions with small developments are very carefully preserved and so it feels that you are seeking at an image straight from a National Geographic publication.
None of my visions are ever complete without having the presence of Vo Floral Style. Trang Vo and I share similar aesthetics and so generating with her is usually effortless and exciting. I can have a million things operating in my head, but Trang solidifies the appear with her floral creation. We knew that we necessary the proper balance amongst nature and our pretty tiny information. As well considerably greenery and it would be lost in translation also several objects, and the appear would be overstated. We pulled with each other an amazing array of talent from a lightly dressed water colored cake to a handwritten adore letter from England, every thing came together very beautifully. The furniture was rustic along with the backdrop, but the 1930’s depression plates and glassware couldn’t have looked any better on the modern gold burst chargers. As the fog came rolling in, we were frozen by it’s mysterious beauty and silenced by the chilly air. Watching Tyler work usually captivates me, he is intensely focused and I was dying to see via his lens. At the end of it all, the one issue I knew, was that beauty is located in the most straightforward form. But it is easily washed away unless you have a wonderful photographer to capture it all. I hope these photos show you what we all felt on that 14th day of March… just just breathtaking and imprinted completely into our minds for years to come.
