I’ve been waiting for the ideal time to share this styled shoot with you all, my dear lovelies, and the day is finally right here! An all-star team of vendors including Chellise Michael Photography, Viva Max Weddings, and Rountree Flowers place together some wedding inspiration complete of creativity, whimsy, contemporary information and hints of geometric influence, and we couldn’t be much more in love with the outcome.
From the event stylist, Viva Max Weddings: The not too long ago expanded LIC occasion space Attic Studios is a combination of a cool raw loft space and a venue that has character and warmth. Clean white walls are balanced with wooden floors and a funky bar. This is why I wanted to use this excellent space to present a wedding look that is modern, funky, entertaining however still bridal and elegant – a contrast that I know can mesh well in the wedding world. Heather of Attic Studios, Jessie of Rountree Flowers, and I, Viva Max Weddings, started to style a wedding appear that focused on lines and color – we wanted anything best for a couple that is creative, romantic, with a touch bohemian and not afraid of a small spunk. Our vision became something like boho romance with a modern art twist.
Our color palette integrated a spectrum of blues (ice blue, grey-blue, periwinkle blue, denim blue, navy blue) paired with bright chartreuse, hot pink and gold. This presented a cool tone with a lot of pop. It felt unique but also could work properly across seasons. We truly wanted to play with the use of line. Sturdy lines vs. Soft lines — this represented this blend of modern day and romantic looks. For the duration of the ceremony, Rountree Flowers developed an impressive and exclusive backdrop of soft ethereal fabrics draped behind the couple and then, as a inventive contrast, we hung colorful string art dream-catcher-like particulars that genuinely added influence and visual interest to the ceremony moment (great DIY project). The ceremony backdrop became anything memorable and complete of personality and the couple could hang the catchers in their residence right after the wedding to forever remember their stunning day.
This style theme continued in the reception space. Since the space has fabulous windows we wanted to bring the guest’s eye upward to appreciate the NYC view. We decided it was required to take benefit of Attic Studio’s ceiling, so Rountree built wonderful golden geometric structures to frame cool hanging Edison light bulbs. The outcome was beautiful and interesting to the eye. These geometric lines had been repeated on her table scape with gold cubes from CB2 and hand painted geometric shapes on the table runners. The lines looked bold and actually fantastic. The addition of Rountree’s sophisticated and soft floral arrangements beautifully complimented our color palette.
Wedding mornings can be stressful and every bride and groom deserves a tiny pampering on their unique day. HanaKyle is a message therapist that specializes in wedding day jitters. I had her come in the morning and give our bride, groom, very best man and maid of honor a little back-rub and reflexology ahead of the massive day started. Message therapy is a great present for a couple that enjoys a small relaxation. Almost everything came collectively beautifully. By combining the talents of so several amazing wedding vendors we created a shoot that really showed off the versatility of Attic Studios although presenting a appear perfect for our boho artsy urban couple that is deeply in really like.
